Wow is it hard keeping something like this a secret. I can understand how people do it when they live hundreds of miles away...but we see our families several times a week. Just in the last few days, questions have abounded because Trisha is changing her diet and can't partake of the vine. While we plan on the official announcement being this Saturday night at my hat party where a ton of friends will be celebrating, we just couldn't keep from filling in the parentals first. We decided to send them a link to this blog and tell them we were planning on documenting our adventure of life and marriage...with a little twist :)
Ted got it right away. Unlike my mom which told us she would check it out tomorrow on her big screen at work. Sheeeeesh! There's nothing like dropping crazy hints, but I ended up sitting next to her and letting her know she needed to read this tonight. Couldn't pick 4 better people in the world to be our baby's grandparents. We love you guys.
We are ecstatic ! Of course, a boy to continue the wildly historic legacy of Kirkpatrick men would be great, but we will be thrilled with a grand girl. As your peepaw said, "the only reason for having children is to get grandchildren." LET THE SPOILING BEGIN!
