April 25th, 2012...a day I'll never forget

When I woke up this morning, I never would have guessed that this would be the day I hear the two words that will change my life forever. It started out like every other day...alarm goes off, then the snooze button gets pressed a few times before I pull myself out of bed to the let dogs out. I then plop down at my desk and start with the daily email replys and art changes. Nothing out of the normal until Trisha comes home from work with a different look in her eyes. I ask her what's up and she presented me with a pregnancy test that TWO lines on it. "We're pregnant," she explains.

Now, we have been talking about getting pregnant for the last six months. Even a few months before the wedding day, I told several people that I was going to get her pregnant right there on the beach after the rings were exchanged. Obviously that would never happen because I don't care for sand in the crack, but we knew that we were on a mission. Unfortunately, Trisha's body became all out of whack after the wedding and we couldn't track days or cycles or anything for the month and a half. Well, 3 ovulation kits later, she tells me on our two month anniversary that we have 36 hours to make a baby. Long story short, the force is strong with this one. We are so blessed that on our first try, we get the bun in the oven.

It's quite entertaining to think that last night, we were discussing today's events and how I have to reschedule poker night because my new niece is scheduled to be born today. And now, all I can think about is that 8 and a half months from now (Lord willing), we will be at the hospital bringing a new life into the world.
